The tenth of the month, ten years ago now
Entered the world an unexpected way
Under the ultraviolet lights you stayed
‘Til the yellow color faded away
Blessings to the family, my last grandchild
Full of wonder and curiosity
I watched as you grew into a young man
The time between visits is far too long
The miles between us makes me so sad
You’re always in my heart and in my thoughts

 

Bright Squares – A Memory from 2004

Becky from The Life of B asks us to share our bright world in the form of a square. 2004 began with my watching a miracle occur. I was able see my first grandchild come into the world.

First grandchild arrived
Joy holding him in my arms
Overflowing glee
