Written for Linda’s One Liner Wednesday prompt.
“A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.” –Mustafa Kemal Ataturk
My heart goes out to all the parents and teachers in the current crazy world. I am grateful I retired last year.
Today I am grateful for…
The wonderful people in my life that have made my life better in so many ways.
Good friends from near and far away have the ability to make me smile and laugh which I am grateful for.
I am grateful for my extended family because no matter where they are they send me love and want the best for me.
I am grateful that I have more good things in my life than I ever thought I would have. I need to keep focusing on the good and worry less about the things I have lost. I sadly have no control over the major loses. I just need to remember the good.
I am grateful I have the ability to have some happiness. By moving through this time of grief and focusing on gratitude I have many more happy times than I thought possible just a few months ago.
I am grateful tonight for my sense of humor. I like to laugh and tears of joy are so much more precious than tears of sadness. So today this quick and dirty post is just to make me remember I am grateful and I am moving forward.
