Sarah is our host for the MLMM Saturday Mix. You can go here to find out more about this week’s and how to join in.
Sarah says: ” This week we are dipping our toes into the pool of OPPOSITES. Our challenge is all about “opposing forces” and the use of antithesis in our writing. You will need to use the two opposing words in your response – which can be poetry or prose.
Our words this week are:– stop and go – here and there”
I wish they would stop exploding fireworks close to my house.
They always set them off very near here.
If they could just go further away, I would be happy.
They should take them over there near the college, away from houses and pets.
Sarah is our hostess for Saturday Mix. “This week we are diving into the depths of our thesaurus and exploring the world of synonyms. Same Same But Different Your ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right, you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.”
Your words are: 1) die 2) wrinkle 3) hurry 4) day 5) hear
A conversation between two desairologists. (mortuary cosmetologists)
Did you hear that the old professor passed away (1)? His widow rushed in here and told us we had only 24 hours (4) to prepare for the funeral. She didn’t want to listen to (5) any excuses as to why we couldn’t get ready in time. She screamed at the undertaker as she told him to hustle (3) up and prepare the body. We desairologists can do a lot but removing his creases (2) and still keeping him looking natural is going to be a mighty task.
Sarah says, “For this week’s Lucky Dip, I have reached into my mystery bag and pulled out a Trinet. The topic is up to you!
Trinet – The Trinet, created by zion, is a form with these specifications: Line 1 – 2 words Line 2 – 2 words Line 3 – 6 words Line 4 – 6 words Line 5 – 2 words Line 6 – 2 words Line 7 – 2 words Repeat this pattern 2 more times, if centered correctly it looks like three crosses.

Little Lolly resides near my house. Her silly grin brings me joy every day. Her emerald eyes shine brightly when she sees me outside. It’s reasonable to assume that my dog is the object of her affection. Sammy runs up and licks Lolly’s face with glee. I can understand why Lolly runs to my house after getting off the school bus. Who wouldn’t like to be the object of such adoration.
