Share Your World – Jan. 21

Still awake. It’s after 3 in the morning. I finished all of season 5 and all the new season six episodes of Grace and Frankie. It is always sad when I have finished everything and there is no more. I am sad that this will be the last season of this great show.

Seing as how I do not want to go through the 200 emails in my email account, I am going to look at the reader on my blog account.

I saw Share Your World yesterday, but did not blog my answers. Right now I shall attempt to answer Melanie’s questions from Sparks from a Combustible Mind.

Where do you get your news? I listen to the top storeis the news is going to talk about and then if I acutally want to know about any of the topics I look into them myself. Most of the news is so depressing I try to avoid what I can.

What ‘old person’ thing do you do?  I am an “old person,” so technically everything I do is an old person thing. I love to take naps without feeling guilty. I love to visit the Facebook sites that connect me to others I share things with. I love to write snail mail letters, though I do not do it as often as I want to. I am deeply entrenched in sewing things right now. I tend to get stuck on some hobby or task, until I burn out and move on to the next thing.

When was the coldest you’ve ever been?   The warmest? The coldest I remember being was at sunrise on the rim of the Grand Canyon. It was so cold my SLR camera froze and would not take a picture. Having traveled there from southern CA I was not dressed appropriately or nearly warmly enough.     The warmest would have to have been when visiting my mom in AZ. The temperatures were in the 120’s and dry heat my a**. It was unbearable outside. Even in her house she kept it in the high 90’s and my body was not happy.

Do you eat food that’s past its expiration date if it still smells and looks fine? I have an extremely sensitive nose and stomach. I am careful with all dairy, egg, and meat products. I know my stomach will be bothered by eggs long before the expiration date. Cottage cheese and cheese are determined by my nose. My nose knows best. Canned goods and baked goods are usually OK for me past their designated dates.

Gratitude (not mandatory to participate in)

If you’d like to, please share some gratitude from your life.

I am grateful that I finished an easy quilt for Z3 for his birthday. It makes me so happy that he enjoys things I make. Hopefully he will enjoy it for a long time.
