  3. I’m amazed at how often we see this in comments from news articles and social media. I think a lot has to do with the distance between the scoffer and the subject. We have also, as a society, become much less tolerant of differences and more judgmental.

  4. Right on! I can’t understand people who need to comment that they hate something we like. Just move on then! One friend in particular drives me nuts with this, constantly commenting how she hates whatever genre of book I’m reviewing or whatever food someone else is talking about. Why say anything???
