Share Your World –

Melanie is our host for Share Your World. My Mondays are made better for her questions.

QUESTIONS
1) What is one topic you really like to talk about? Or something you really want to tell people? I enjoy talking about scrapbooking, purging my household collections, and places I have traveled.

2) What do you normally never tell strangers about yourself? (be general, I don’t need to know details or invade privacy) Most anything

3) Have you ever broken anything?  (can be health related, emotion related, or situation related – you define “broken anything” for your own satisfaction) I’ve broken both my baby toes numerous times. I broke my front tooth when I fell off a bunk bed at age 12.

4) Is having a big ego a negative trait or positive trait? It depends if the big ego is shared more often than it should be. Feeling good about yourself is good, needing to shove it down someone’s throat is not.

GRATITUDE SECTION:
What aspects of your city or neighborhood are you grateful for?
I am grateful for the quiet neighborhood I live in. I am grateful that there are hummingbirds and butterflies visiting most days.

  1. I had three birds nests on my patio this year. They like to make then in the hidden spot near the outdoor speakers. I don’t play music outside until the baby birds fly the nest.

  2. Thanks for Sharing Your World Lauren! 🙂 Sympathies on the broken toes, I actually broke my baby toe this year as well, only didn’t realize I’d done it (yay for diabetic neuropathy .. NOT!) It self healed, but apparently I splintered the bone as well, and now have a spur that will take surgery to repair. Who knew that little toe could visit such trauma on a person? I know it’s necessary for balance and stuff, but seriously? And the pain! I know you’re feeling that yourself and hope for a more speedy recovery going forward! Having the butterflies and birds visit your yard is a beautiful thing. I get one or two, but mostly I think they get frightened off by the mechanical noise pollution and toxic smells coming from the industrial sites just behind my house. 😦 The hummingbirds do love my Rose of Sharon tree a LOT though. It’s not really safe to share personal information at all these days, and you’ve chosen a wise path in keeping yourself to yourself! Have a lovely week!
