Fandango’s Flash Fiction – Technological Assist

Fandango has posted a photo off the internet. He asks us to write a flash fiction piece or a poem inspired by the photo. There are no style or word limits.

The photograph below is from abi ismail at unsplash.com.

For the visually challenged writer, the photo is of a man and a woman sitting next to each other at a counter inside a coffee shop. He’s engrossed with something on his smartphone and she is working on her Apple laptop computer.

Dad, we must get this finished. I Googled and found the funeral parlor I want to use. I’ve ordered the flowers from that excellent website Urban Stems. I found a flautist with great yelp reviews. I did a Zoom call with the minister. He is OK with live streaming the services. You have the key to the safe deposit box.  I made an online appointment with the bank so we can get the will. Sorry dad, but you need to finish texting all the relatives and let them know mom passed away.
