Melanie hosts Share Your World questions every Monday. She did not take President’s Day off, so we happily have questions to answer.
1) What’s the most useful thing you know? I know quite a few useful things. I’d have to say the most useful is how to take care of myself.
2) What impact do you think it would have on the world if bananas were illegal? People would go crazy for them, because most people want what they aren’t supposed to have. Personally, I’d be fine. I love a banana split once every year or so. I like bananas in my cereal or oatmeal, but it is not a necessity. I wouldn’t go into the black market to get them at any time.
3) What social stigma does society need to just get over? That anyone needs the same belief system that they have or else they are evil and need to be eradicated
4) Do you prefer the moral viewpoint of consequentialism*, which focuses on the consequences of actions, or deontology,* which focuses on the innate rightness or wrongness of the actions themselves? I think I believe in both to a degree. The consequences of wrong doings can rarely be OK. If you didn’t mean to do harm, but did, it was not innately wrong but had negative consequences, so it was wrong.
GRATITUDE SECTION (As always optional) Please feel free to share something good that happened to you in the past week.
I finished my bowling ball art using my aunt’s costume jewelry. It is now part of my bowling ball garden. It makes me happy daily.
