Share Your World – Jan 31

Melanie is our host for Share Your World. Thanks for the mention Melanie.
Questions:
1) What is one topic you love to talk about? Just one?  My grandkids, Annie, scrapbooking, fabrics, my artwork…

2) Ask the wonder question . But so, suppose there was a magical wizard standing right in front of you and you could turn your life into anything you wanted, what would you do? ‘  For example: What, who, where, why? ‘  (Short explanation:  Suspend disbelief and suppose for a moment that you COULD turn your life into anything you wanted it to be.  Answer any or all of those “W” codicils as you wish)
Oh Goody. I like to IMAGINE what I could change. I would move to a very large property in Santa Barbara. It would be by the beach, of course. The main house would not be too large. There would be doggie doors so the dogs could come and go at will. There would be a good sized swimming pool in the back yard for the two-legged, as well as a second pool for the four legged.

I would have multiple casitas on the property. There would be one for an, on the property cook, housecleaner, and chauffer. There would be one for each of my kids to visit whenever they wanted. There would be one for a full time doggie caretaker. I would have a dog rescue for senior dogs. I could model it after OFSDS.

3)  Could you adjust to life without any internet?
This means the net has theoretically failed and there’s no cyber connection any longer.  Things have gone back to the old ways of land-line telephones (because cells don’t work without the ‘Net) and hand written letters.  Paper newspapers and magazines.  Hard bound books.  Having to actually do finances with ledgers, paper and pen or pencil.  There are a myriad of things the internet brings with it that I think we’ve all gotten so used to that we now take them for granted.   The Millennials and generations after them don’t know the ‘old ways’ at all really in my opinion. The short answer is Heck no. I don’t read eBooks. I’d be OK with just a land line. My finances are done with paper and a pen. BUT, I would not be OK with losing my blogging community.

4) What do you think is unique about the human ‘animal’ (homosapien)? I think people are unique because we like to create and enjoy art.

  1. Wow Lauren, I love the world you created from the casitas for each kid, to the doggie pool. It interesting that all of these questions feed each other. What we like to talk about feeds our dreams, creativity, in fact our thoughts create our reality. How the Internet has changed the way we move in the world and live to the uniqueness of our species! Love your responses to these prompts! Warmly, C

It’s good to have more than one topic to fall back on, isn’t it? The gratitude meme was beautiful and uplifting and I thank you for sharing it! Wonderful image and thought! Have a great week!
