SHARE YOUR WORLD QUESTIONS FROM THE BLOGGERS (Plus one Holiday one from me)

Di  (11-2-2021)  1) What really turns your stomach?  (politicians aside) Without talking about specific politicians I feel disgusted by judges and lawmakers. How dare they promote gun violence by not restricting assault rifles. How dare they tell women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. How dare they allow murders off with no consequences. How are they let an admitted rapist off with just probation. How dare they………..

Jim and Fandango (12-1-2021)    2) Recently in a FPQ challenge, a question was asked about fish.   That ‘sparked’ a further train of thought by me about (Jim and Fandango’s discussion) “Whether or not recycling is helpful OR if it’s really far too late for anything of that sort to make a difference? I can only do what I can do. But I will say that if everyone does nothing helpful, worse things happen. Things like the orange one coming into power and causing  disaster for our country.

3) What would YOU do with the immense amount of ‘garbage’ in the world, if there weren’t dumps or barges (Sorry New York/New Jersey) where it was taken to be processed?   (My question thought up from Jim and Fandango’s) That’s the sixty-four million dollar question. If I was in charge of the world I would make CLEAN factories that sorted and turned all garbage into an energy source. I can dream can’t I?

4( Evil Squirrel posed the following (12-5-2021)   What’s the oddest container you’ve ever gotten a gift in? My former in-laws once gave my ex and I a wreath in a recycled toilet lid box. Imagine trying to look happy about getting a toilet lid for the holidays.

Holiday themed question:
5) Do people behave differently during Christmas/Hanukkah? Most people behave like crazy people during this season.
Do they try to be better? I suppose some people genuinely try to be better
Do you donate something (money, clothes…) to charities? I donate to charities often, including this season
Do you give something to homeless people? I often give money to truly homeless people. Never to the people with the signs by the side of the road more well dressed than I am. Sadly, there are lots of scammers around here.

GRATITUDE SECTION (As always, optional)
This is an allegedly joyful time of year.   How do you, personally,  FEEL?
Hanukkah is not a major holiday like Christmas. It is a joyful time. I feel blessed continuing the rituals of lighting candles, playing dreidel, and spending time with my family. Making foods my grandmother, aunt, and mom made connect me with my heritage which makes me very grateful.

  1. Thank you Lauren for Sharing Your World! Happy Hanukkah! I like how you describe that as a joyful time. It’s tough to figure out how to wish folks a peaceful season sometimes. I suppose just wishing them well might do? I really like the joyful idea though. Because that’s what most of the celebrations around the world at this time are about, aren’t they? Celebrating that we made it through another year (in spite of idiots being charge), that we do have enough for what we need and thinking and caring for those who don’t. Thanks Lauren! Great answers! Have a wonderful week!
