Fandango’s Provocative Question #147

FPQ

 Fandango’s Provocative Question #147  asks:
“What’s the best thing you’ve got going on in your life at the moment?”

Like many others, I tend to first dwell on the physical, mental, and emotional issues I have going on in my life. Then I work hard to appreciate all that is going well in my life. There are hundreds of things every day to be grateful for. Fandango’s question is a good one for me.

The best thing I have going on in my life is the ability to do what I want, when and if I want to do anything. I am still staying safe and restricting my activities. But I am grateful for the choices I have available to me.  Being retired is a real blessing in my life. I have spent a great deal of time decluttering and redoing things in my home. This has made my life easier and more joyful.

I love my retirement. I have fun making and buying gifts for my grandkids. I like to send off cards to friends. I enjoy watching silly reruns on TV. I love working in my garden. I love playing with Annie. I love napping outside on my swing when it’s not too cold. I love having the time to sew or scrapbook or reorganize things. I am grateful for the ability to go to all the PT appointments, OT appointments, chiropractor appointments, acupuncture appointments, and anything else I can do to help with my body.

The best thing I have going on in my life, is that for the first time, I have only myself to answer to. I have no boss. I have no papers to grade. I have no parent phone calls to make. I have no lessons to design. I have my time to make me happy.
