Simply Six Minutes

Thanks to Christine  at #StineWriting for the weekly Simply 6 Minutes challenge. Use the photo prompt to write anything that comes to mind, in six minutes.

The mother told her children she wanted to go to the zoo so they could see how well animals got along. The family traveled many of the long paths to see the different animal habitats.  They went to the gorilla cage only to find the gorillas fighting over a rubber tire. They went to snake habitat in time to see one snake swallowing another whole. They went to the penguin ice palace and saw one penguin shoving another fairly violently. At the chimpanzee cages the silly animals were throwing their feces at each other. The mother was getting very discouraged at that point. She opted to try one more habitat. She hoped the giraffes would be nonaggressive. She hoped her children would see animals playing together well. The trip ended wonderfully after all, because her son walked up to the edge of the enclosure and was met with this face.
