Sadje is our wonderful host of What Do You See? Her pictures always inspire me. I need to follow through on writing what I see more often. Thanks for the lovely prompt.

I haven’t been to Europe in 20 years. I am so glad we ventured so far away from home.
The beautiful cities are still here. The wonderful architecture still warms my heart. I can still feel the history as I walk down the paths of long-ago days.
Sadly, the people are still staying home, hiding from the nasty virus that has taken so much and so many. This will be our last trip abroad.
The old adage is true. You can’t go back to what once was.
Thank you Lauren for your kind, gracious words. Europe has an old world charm that’s hard to find elsewhere. Thanks for joining in my friend

Europe was so lovely and different from the US. I am grateful for my memories.

I agree, Europe is the old worlds where cities have history of thousands of years.

I agree, Lauren. Places visited long ago are perhaps better just left in the memory.

To be honest, I have no desire to travel far away any longer. I have wonderful memories though.

They are still there, the same as ever. It’s the way we see them that changes with time. A really fitting take on the prompt.
