Sarah at Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie gives us the task to use homophones.
The ‘Double Take’ challenge focuses on the use of homophones* to build your writing piece. You have two sets of homophones and you are challenged to use all of them in your response – which can be poetry or prose.
Our homophone sets this week are:
except – leave out, exclude accept – welcome
and course – path, route coarse – rough
I still stay at home except when necessary.
I accept that my choices are what make me feel safe.
It’s been a touch coarse following all the rules.
Of course, I could make other choices, but I choose not to.
