GirlieOnTheEdge asks us to write a six sentence story using the word remnant.
The remnants of my 35-year teaching career have all but disappeared. No longer do I need to rise by 6 AM and rush out the door. No longer do I need to stay up late grading papers, designing lessons, or answering parent emails. I have gifted hundreds of books, lab materials, and lesson plans to those still teaching. I can now pass by items in a thrift store that I know would be useful for a hands-on lab, without putting them in my cart. The remnants of my former life are forever in my heart.
Nice thoughts
