Share Your World – A Day Late

Hands around earth

Melanie is our host for Share Your World. I look forward to her questions even if I am a bit late. This week’s questions are not simple to answer. That’s what makes them good.

1) What did you learn the hard way?  If someone is only a good person when it’s convenient for them, believe that they care more about their own immediate wants than the greater good of the whole.

2) Which activities make you lose track of time? Blogging, gardening, sewing, scrapbooking, and reading make me lose track of time

3) Why do we seem to think of others the most after they’re gone? I don’t think that I think of others more than when they are gone. I do believe I have more depth of emotion when loved ones are gone.

4) Is it possible to know the truth without challenging it first? I doubt it is possible to “know” the truth without challenging it, but accepting what you believe to be the truth might not need to be challenged.

GRATITUDE SECTION (always optional)
I am grateful that I have many blessings in my life.

  1. Thank you Lauren for Sharing Your World! I too found the Gratitude meme very inspiring! Great thought on that! Your answers were very thoughtful and I enjoyed them all! I do believe you ‘solved’ the schism between the blind faith truth side and the question everything side, I’ve had variations of both of those in this week’s truth question! You put your finger right on the issue! There are things that are taken as truths (backed up by science) and there are things we take on faith, and there are things that we ought to question because what we might believe turns into opinion and not the truth, not for everyone. Good point! Have a wonderful week!

    1. One of the things I enjoy about my spiritual path is that I am always questioning. When you are not allowed to question, you are not allowed to grow and have a mind of your own. Thanks for the Share Your World prompt.
