Share Your World – Memorial Day 2021

A big thank you to Melanie for her Share Your World Questions. I planned on writing a blog today inspired by my two rescue dogs. Things came up, some were stressful and sad. I did not have the energy to create what I planned.  Instead I looked for Melanie’s questions to respond to. They are a great part of my blogging fun.

1. What activity instantly calms you? taking deep breaths while listening to music

2. What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done lately? I changed out all the photos on my bookcase

3. If people receive a purple heart for bravery, what would other color hearts represent?  (Example yellow heart = cowardice) I hate the idea of giving someone a yellow heart for cowardice. I think maybe giving someone a red heart for showing care for others, giving someone an orange heart for solving problems, and perhaps a blue heart for having lost someone special

4. What is the bravest thing you’ve ever done or witnessed someone else do? Holding the hand of a dying person and telling them it is OK to go

GRATITUDE SECTION (Always optional)
How do you show gratitude to the people you respect?
This meme is Melanie’s. It is Awesome

I try to tell people often why I respect them and how they have positively impacted my life. A personal thank you to both my grandfathers and both my uncles for serving to protect our country.

  1. Thank you for Sharing Your World Lauren! I’m glad I could provide you something to keep your mind off whatever trouble you’re having. You’re not alone if that helps. Thank you for the wonderful nod too, I actually got the meme off Google Images, but thought it was so appropriate for yesterday! The yellow heart idea was merely where my mind went when I thought of yellow. Others have nominated ‘happy’ or ‘cheerful’ for that color, which is a much better choice I think! Your choices were great too! Have a wonderful week and take care!
