Share Your World – From May 24

Melanie is the host of Share Your World.  I was not in a good place on Monday, but I hate to miss Melanie’s questions.

QUESTIONS:
What are you most proud of in the last year? I survived and did not go too crazy. I cleaned and purged and redesigned rooms in my house. I had some great conversations connecting with friends.

If you see a puddle on the ground, do you walk around it or give in to the child within and splash about? If I am barefoot, I walk in the puddle. If I am in shoes I avoid the puddle. Wet soggy shoes are not fun.

Do you feel free? Why or why not? I am free to think what I want. I am free to love who I want. I am free to eat what I want. I just wish I was free to do what I want without pain.

What life skills are rarely taught but are extremely useful? Life skills are rarely taught. When I taught 5th grade we taught balancing a checkbook. When I had home Ec in high school we learned to sew and cook basic items. My own adult children can’t even sew on a button. I tried to teach them and they had no interest.

Gratitude:
I am grateful that my back is getting better and I can move around with less pain. I am grateful that my grandson is out of the hospital. I am grateful that the 90 degree temperatures are gone for now. I am grateful for a visit from my dear cousin for my birthday. I am grateful that I am blogging again. I am grateful for the love of family and friends. I am grateful for See’s Dark Chocolate California Brittle. I am grateful for CBD aiding me in pain relief. I am grateful for acupuncture. I am grateful for intelligent people who believe in science.

  1. Thank you Lauren for Sharing Your World! I’m grateful to see you blogging and hear that your back is a bit better. Puddle splashing is definitely a without shoes or socks affair! I’m glad your grandson is recovering, that must have caused a lot of anxiety to your family! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. So sorry about your Grandson. Glad he’s out of the hospital. So hard to see our children/ grandchildren go thru scary things.
