I envy others’ ability to sleep
I may rest, but it’s not deep
It matters not, when I lay down my head
I’m guaranteed to lie awake in bed
I’ve tried to renovate my sleeping style
It hasn’t worked for a very long while
Up at odd hours, is my norm
I’m unable to dream, in any form
My not sleeping foible, is one I dread
It can occur on a couch, a chair, or a bed
What’s the solution, I’d like to know
Another sleepless night where my brain won’t let go
Fandango’s One Word Challenge – renovate
Your Daily Word Prompt – foible

It is my life. The Melatonin helped for awhile, but no longer.

Melatonin has this issue. It’s effectiveness is short lived. So sorry

Very good! I hate it when you;re tired, but can’t switch off when you retire for the night.

I feel you. Some weeks on end I cannot sleep, others I sleep but not deep so I’m always weary. Great poem on insomnia. well done.
