I’ve never been the favored child, which I have survived.
I’ve never had the favored clothes, which hasn’t bothered me since my teen years.
I’ve never wanted the favored jewels that appeal to many others.
I’ve never owned the favored autos, that others take such pride in.
I’ve never desired the favored shoes nor handbags that so many feel are essential.

I do favor my mom in looks and intelligence.
I favor living with dogs over cats.
I favor alternative medicine whenever possible.
I favor listening to my heart even more than my head.
I favor calm over chaos.
I favor time at home over going out.
I favor a few true friends over a multitude of fake ones.
