The obvious reply to these words from an insomniac like me, would be:
I try to sleep.
My eyes won’t let me.
They always open.
What do I do?
But, let me think a little more:
Closing my eyes does me no good.
Eyes open or closed my brain is still going 100 mph.
When I try to go to sleep at an earlier hour
it just means more time laying awake in bed.
