Your Daily Word Prompt – Excel

Sheryl at Your Daily Word Prompt gives us the word excel to write about today.


When I think about the idea of excelling, I typically don’t apply that verb to myself. But, if I give it some thought, I can come up with some things I believe I excel in.

I excelled at loving my two babies.
I currently excel at loving my four grandchildren.
In the future, I hope to excel at taking care of great-grand babies. (Way in the future)

I excelled at making all my kid’s clothes when they were very young.
I currently excel at upcycling things, so they do not get tossed aside.
In the future, I hope to excel in keeping my body healthy for a long, long time.

I excelled at turning a barren yard into happy spaces.
I currently excel at taking care of my gardens.
In the future, I hope to try bulbs again to have the joy of tulips in my yard.

I excelled at gifting things to friends, family, and organizations.
I currently excel at finding special things for special people.
In the future, I hope to make more gifts for those I love.

I excelled in making the household funds make it to the end of the month.
I currently excel at paying myself first.
In the future, I hope to excel at being able to never be a burden to my family.

I excelled at doing household chores.
I currently excel at doing what makes me happy.
In the future, I hope to excel at finding help to do things that I am no longer able to do.

I excelled at doing my best to make my lessons interesting and fun.
I currently excel at being a fur baby parent.
In the future, I hope to excel at loving more pets.
