12 Bloggers Game #5 – September 2020

Rory from a Guy Called Bloke gives us  12 questions to answer in his September Bloggers Game.

1.What really lights you up? Spending  time with loved ones has always made me happy. (pre-Covid)  I like planning, prepping, and hosting gatherings. Nothing formal, just lots of love.

2.When do you think we become old? We become old  when we stop listening to new ideas.

3. What’s in your fridge right now? Right now it is rather empty. I still haven’t replaced all the spoiled food from when the fridge died. There is fruit, salad fixings, milk, and some dark chocolate, so I am set.

4. Never mind three wishes give me one good fantasy which would be … ? How can I say anything but that I wish Covid  never  occurred.

5. How do you think your readers see you as the writer of your blog as a person away from your blog?  I would venture to guess that  my readers think I am a busy old Nana who loves her family.

6.How do you wish to be seen and interpreted as a person away from your blog by the readers of your blog?  Let’s see, how about a busy old lady who  loves her family.

7. Do our fears start with our DNA? There has been research done that proves Holocaust  survivors’ generations later have the fears of their ancestors.

8.What is the truest quality of life in your opinion? I define my quality of life as being in good health.

9. What do you think the secret is to you letting yourself go? I am not a party girl. But I am my happiest when around people I can trust.

10. What stops you from being the truer version of you or are you already the truer version of you? I would say at this stage of my life, I AM the truest version of myself.

11. What are 7 things you have learned about blogging since you started your blog that would be beneficial to other bloggers right now?  Enjoy the writing –  Be  your true self – Read lots of other bloggers – Leave comments – Respond to comments left on your blog – Stay active

12.Should we care what other people think about us? To fit into society, you need to care to some degree. But if your forays outside of the norm don’t  hurt anyone, then so be it. I got my first tattoo at 65, my second one month later. Many saw it as inappropriate. I died my hair purple after I retired, because I felt like it. Again, I wasn’t hurting anyone and it made me happy

  1. Hey Lauren – thank you for taking the time to answer the 12 questions – all good answers and good to know the busy family loving nana some more.

Also thank you for the Holocaust link – that was an insightful read indeed.

It angers me immensely when l hear young people say this ‘the holocaust’ never happened as an attrocity and so reading the article brings the horror forward to where we are today. The damage done back then sadly still lives on in many.
