Tale Weaver – #286 – Sunrise

img_0428 Michael is the host of Tale Weaver. He says:

This week write a response to the word “sunrise”.

The above photo was taken at 6.30 am recently of the morning sunrise.

Sunrise can be a beautiful time of day and can herald the day ahead.

I typically don’t sleep very well. Which means I am often awake at sunrise. I am a morning person who genuinely enjoys being up for sunrise. It doesn’t matter if I have had three, four, five, or even occasionally six hours of sleep, I still love mornings.

Sunrise means a new day to enjoy. It feels like hope and possibilities. There were many of my working days in winter that I was at school before the sun had risen. I would often go outside to the open field to see the wonderful colors as they crept over the houses. I enjoyed the solitude before the busy day ahead.

Experiencing sunrise is a gift from my higher power.

  1. I think your last comment is right – fewer people view the sunrise. I’m not a morning person so I’m more likely to see a sunset than a sunrise – but when I do, it is a wonderful experience.

  2. Maggie got me up just after 4 this morning. It was glorious, and I didn’t need to bother with a cardigan to let her out, it was so warm. Usually I can’t get to sleep until after midnight, but she is better than any alarm as she wakes me up anytime between 4 and 5 in the summer. In the darker mornings though, it will be around 7, so I’m not complaining.
    Lovely musical choice.
