Fandango’s Dog Days of August – Trip

12abdc40-8e91-4b06-b8bb-b370b8a23e49 Fandango says: At 6:00 am Pacific time each day this month, I will be posting a new theme. Today’s theme is “trip.” You can post about a business trip, a vacation, a journey of self discovery, a field trip, a drug-induced trip, a trip down memory lane. That’s up to you. It can be a story, a poem, a photo, a drawing, some music, whatever.

Right now, taking a trip is out of the question. But with my scrapbooks, and my gratitude I can travel down memory lane.

I am grateful for the many weekend trips I took to San Francisco from Southern California to visit my sibling and his family.

I am grateful for the trips to see my grandparents in Los Angeles. Especially when I was able to bring them their first great-grandchildren.

I am grateful for the trips to the Grand Canyon. It will forever be a wonderful gift of nature to me.

I am grateful for the trips across the country to see family.

I am grateful for the trip to China with the teachers, admins, and superintendent from my district.

I am grateful for the opportunity to take middle schoolers to Australia and New Zealand.

I am grateful for the trip with middle schoolers to England, France, Greece, and Italy.

I am grateful for the trip to Ireland without students, teachers, or others.

I am grateful for the trip to the Bay of Fundy, Niagara Falls, and Peggy’s Cove in Canada.

I am grateful for the trip to Mexico with my then teenaged daughters.

I am grateful for the hospital trips to watch my grandchildren being born.

I am grateful for the monthly trips to AZ to visit my mom.

I am grateful for the trip to Sweden to meet my spouse’s family.

I am grateful for the trip to New Hampshire last fall to meet my dear friends in person.

I will be ever so grateful when traveling is safe again.
