Here are my answers:

1. Do you make your bed every morning?  I was often told by my grandmother pull the covers down and let the bed air out. Then later in the day pull the covers up to be ready for the next night of blissful sleep. While blissful sleep has never been my strength, I loved her attitude.

2. What was your first car? A 1964 Ford Falcon Station wagon with a too large souped up engine courtesy of its prior owner. A teenage young man got too many tickets so his mom sold the car to my mom for 300 dollars. The engine was brand new.

3. What two grocery items do you never run out of?  milk and fruit

4. At what age did you start doing your laundry? At age nine I was required to do the laundry for the entire household. My brothers, being boys, were not required to do “women’s work.”

5. If you could, would you go back to high school? Not for a minute. I was bullied and harassed often in high school.

6. Can you parallel park in under three moves? No way unless the space is three car lengths long.

7. A job you had which people would be shocked to know you once had?  I was an ID checker and bouncer (with back up) at a country western bar.  I do not care for country western music. I do not, nor have I ever, imbibed alcohol.

8. Do you think aliens are real? I am open minded about this. I do not believe that in this vast universe we are the only ones that have intelligence to question our past, present, and future.

9. Can you drive a stick shift? Yes.  I have loved many of my cars with a stick shift. Unfortunately with shoulder damage and knee damage I can’t trust my body to be safe driving a stick.

10. Guilty TV pleasure?  Big Bang Theory

11. Tattoos?  My first at 65 for my birthday the second a month later as a retirement acknowledgement of 35 years teaching.

12. If the world ends do you want to be one of survivors?  Sure why not! I would read and work hard to take care of all the pets.

13. Sweet or salty? sweet

14. Do you enjoy soaking in a nice hot bath? Yes but I have been told to not do so any longer.

15. Do you consider yourself a strong person?  I have had to be strong to survive this trip around the world.

16. Something people do that drives you nuts? eating with their mouth open and blowing their nose at the table

17. Do you have any birthmarks?  I have a one day after birth mark, from lung surgery as a one day old baby

18. Favorite childhood game?  kick the can

19. Do you talk to yourself? often

20. Do you like doing jigsaw puzzles?  not really, they frustrate me

21. Tea or coffee?  neither

22. First thing you remember wanting to be when you grew up? a teacher which I followed through and became

23. Favorite game now? computer solitaire

 Did I surprise anyone?

  1. Great questions that deserve some time to answer. I’ll contemplate them for now but will answerthe first. Yes, I make our bed every morning, first thing. It allows me to say that I accomplished something early in the day. Loved this posting.

  2. Obviously, we can no longer be friends. 😉

Country music is part of my upbringing and I love a good country song.

I do, however like a good game of kick the can…but I detest computerized solitaire.

Our differences make the world go round…

  3. Thanks for the mention, and for playing along with answering the questions! I enjoyed reading your answers.
I liked your answer about taking care of all the pets – a wonderful thing to do looking after them.
I definitely agree with your answer to # 16 – ugh!
It seems lots of us had a Ford Falcon as a first car! 🙂
