Day 201 – LSS Attitude of Gratitude – Blog/#SoCS xp – There is always something to be grateful for.

I am enjoying being a part of  Linda Hill’s stream of consciousness style writing. It is a fun way to blog. I am learning so much as I partake of this special world.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “xp.” Use it as a word, or find a word with “xp”in it. As always, use any way you’d like. Enjoy!

As is my usual goal I attempt to join my blog with her parameters. So here goes……

I expect to get my last pair of glasses that are covered by my insurance next month. I am grateful that I can have have one more pair covered.

I expect to get my first and probably only tattoo on Wednesday. I am grateful to be able to represent my mom, my disability, and my grandchildren all in one symbol.

I expect to announce to the school that I am retiring the first week if May. I am grateful that everyone will know.

I expect to get my medical procedure done in the second week of May. I am grateful to be finally doing something my doctor has bugged me about for 15 years.

I expect to have my classroom cleaned out by the third week of May. I am grateful I have been working on this for over a year.

I expect to get everything done for my school district by May 30. I am grateful they are so knowledgeable about what needs to be done.

I expect to retire officially on May 31. I am grateful the last day of my employment will also be the first day of my retirement.

I expect to wake up June first with a silly grin on my face.  I am grateful that retirement is so close.

I expect to find some new interests to pursue in my retirement. I am grateful there are so many opportunities out there.

I expect to read and read and read and read when I am retired. I am grateful I will not have lessons to create or papers to grade that thwart my opportunities.

I expect to have more time to dedicate to my friendships that have become so important in my journey. I am grateful for my tribe.

I expect to sew and scrapbook and write and draw and create and thrift and garden this summer and beyond. I am grateful I have so many interests.

I am grateful to being living my life in joy instead of fear and sadness.
