Linda’s SoCS prompt for today is: soul or sole.

I was confronted, no questioned, by a fellow teacher yesterday. He stated that he was very religious and “knew” I was also. He went on with a few more statements not in alignment with my beliefs. He was not disrespectful, just so very wrong.
I had to correct the well meaning whipper snapper in his incorrect statements. I informed him that I am not a religious person. I am a cultural Jew. I believe in honoring my people and my traditions. In my opinion organized religion separates more than it brings people together. I see all people as equal and all religions that are inclusive valuable. I am grateful for the wonderful souls in my life that taught me about my heritage. I am grateful that I have the freedom to see G-d in all things on this planet.
So while I feel I left him with the possible opinion that my soul is going to Hades upon my demise, I am grateful that I am comfortable with what I believe happens to my soul when I leave this realm.

Our beliefs are much in alignment. I am glad you spoke your truth. I do that more and more these days.
